Manipulation/Adjustment

Joint manipulation involves sudden, high velocity thrusting type movements that are often accompanied by an audible clicking, cracking or popping sound.

It involves taking the joint past its natural range to ‘gap’ the joint It is primarily used to increase range of motion at a specific joint, relieve Manipulationpressure on neural tissue around the associated joint and help relieve pain.

The most common sight of manipulation is the thoracic spine, but they are also occasionally used for lumbar and cervical spinal problems, as well as peripheral joints.
