Emma is an adopted kiwi having moved from Ayrshire, Scotland in 2008 to Hawkes Bay and now living in the big smoke of Auckland. She lives with her partner, James, a pilot in the New Zealand Air Force and her pup Skye, a 1.5 year old black Labrador.
She has been working in sports physiotherapy for 9 years. Emma completed her undergraduate honors degree at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and then her Masters of Physiotherapy (endorsed in sports) from Otago University. She has a special interest in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Emma enjoys all sports and has been a physio for many teams from basketball to soccer to rugby. Most recently she was in Spain for 4 months with the Australian Triathlon team at their European base looking after all the elite and Paralympic athletes. She is a keen triathlete herself having competed for both Great Britain and New Zealand at an age group level in both duathlon and triathlon.
